Lee has eight kills as Lady Lions fall at ECSU

Jillian Lee had eight kills in the Lady Lions loss at Elizabeth City State
Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) paced the Lincoln University volleyball team with eight kills, but it wasn't enough to halt Elizabeth City State as the Lady Lions dropped a tough four-set match,3-1, to the Lady Vikings on Sunday night in a CIAA Northern Division match.

Lincoln (1-13 overall, 1-11 CIAA) lost the first two sets, 25-15 and 25-20, but bounced back with a 25-17 win in the third set to force the fourth game. However, the Lady Vikings (10-6, 9-2) took the final set, 25-10, to win the match.

Besides Lee's team-high eight kills, Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) and Briana McKellery (Odenton, MD/Arundel HS) recorded six and three, respectively. Erica McClain (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett HS) added 17 assists and nine digs. Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) finished with a team-high 13 digs, while Johnson chipped in with 12.

Lincoln remains on the road as the Lady Lions meet Chowan, 66 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8 in Murfreesboro, N.C., in a CIAA Northern Division showdown.
