Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. –
Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) paced the Lincoln University volleyball team with eight kills, but it wasn't enough to halt Elizabeth City State as the Lady Lions dropped a tough four-set match,3-1, to the Lady Vikings on Sunday night in a CIAA Northern Division match.
Lincoln (1-13 overall, 1-11 CIAA) lost the first two sets, 25-15 and 25-20, but bounced back with a 25-17 win in the third set to force the fourth game. However, the Lady Vikings (10-6, 9-2) took the final set, 25-10, to win the match.
Besides Lee's team-high eight kills,
Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) and
Briana McKellery (Odenton, MD/Arundel HS) recorded six and three, respectively.
Erica McClain (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett HS) added 17 assists and nine digs.
Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) finished with a team-high 13 digs, while Johnson chipped in with 12.
Lincoln remains on the road as the Lady Lions meet Chowan, 66 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8 in Murfreesboro, N.C., in a CIAA Northern Division showdown.
