Box Score PETERSBURG, Va. – The Lincoln University volleyball team got six kills from Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute), but it wasn't enough to overtake Virginia State as the Lady Lions fell, 3-0, on Thursday night in a key CIAA Northern Division match.
 
The Lady Trojans (12-8 overall, 11-2 CIAA, 6-1 CIAA North) won the match with scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-13.
 
Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS) added four kills, while Erica McClain (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett HS) dished out 11 assists. Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) recorded 13 digs to pace the Lincoln defense.
 
The Lady Lions (3-16, 1-14, 1-8) return to action 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30 in Wilmington, Del., against Goldey-Beacom College.
