LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University football team looks to finish strong at home and win its first homecoming football game at Lincoln University Stadium against the Bowie State Bulldogs on Saturday in a CIAA Northern Division matchup.

THE EVENT: Lincoln looks ahead to winning its final home game while also seeking its first victory against Bowie State.
 
Bowie State enters this contest after losing, 37-13, to Virginia Union University last weekend in Richmond, Va. 


Doug Cook, who threw for 259 yards against Virginia State last week, is 195-of-339 passing for 2,029 yards and 12 touchdowns. Philip Jean-Juste leads the Lions in receptions with 66 catches. Matt Coston leads the team in receiving yards with 570. Kester Lewis tops the team's list with five receiving touchdowns. Gerald Swain navigates the rushing attack with 332 yards on 99 carries.
 
Defensively, Tim Green has racked up a team-high 64 total tackles, including 53 solo stops. He has 20.5 tackles for loss for 120 yards, 13 quarterback hurries and eight sacks. Brion Robinson has 60 total tackles and Steven Morris (Palmyra, N.J./Palmyra HS) leads the team with three interceptions.
 
SENIOR DAY: Lincoln will honor 12 seniors prior to the game: Maurice Bertrand (Yonkers, N.Y./Cherry Hill HS), Matthew Coston (Queens, N.Y./Dover HS), Bradley Davis (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram HS), Xavier Freeman (Linden, N.J./Linden HS), Garin Gardner (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill Academy), Tim Green (Fanwood, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS), Philip Jean-Juste (Miami, Fla. /North Miami Beach HS), Kenny Johnson (Randallstown, Md./Randallstown HS), Kester Lewis (Bowie, Md./Grady HS), Ivan Mitchell (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill Academy), Jethro Spikes (Sarasota, Fla./) and Gerald Swain (Burlington Township, N.J./Burlington Township HS).
