LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — Ali Eberly recorded 12 service aces as the Chestnut Hill College volleyball team spoiled Lincoln's home opener on Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory at Manuel Rivero Hall.

 

The Lady Lions (0-4) lost by scores of 25-6, 25-17, 25-9.

 

Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) and Zakiya Williams (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco Center for the Arts) led the way offensively with three kills each and Jasmine Graves (Bay Shore, N.Y./Brentwood HS) paced the defense with nine digs.

 

Cassie Benson finished with eight kills and Alex DePalma had six to lead Chestnut Hill (3-1).

 

Lincoln returns to action Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10 at the West Chester Tournament. The Lady Lions open play on Friday against Philadelphia University and Stonehill College. Lincoln concludes the tournament on Saturday against host West Chester and Chestnut Hill.
