WEST CHESTER, Pa. — The Lincoln University volleyball team conclude play Saturday at the West Chester University Ram Fest with a pair of 3-0 losses to host West Chester and Chestnut Hill.
Against West Chester, the Lady Lions (0-8) lost by scores of 25-7, 25-14, 25-9.
Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) paced the Lincoln offense with four kills, while
Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS) had three assists.
Erin Rucker (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights HS) led the way on defense with four digs.
Julie O'Brien and Kelly Martin led West Chester offensively with nine and six kills, respectively, while Helen Fitzpatrick added 20 assists.
In the second match, Lincoln dropped 25-12, 25-13, 25-15 scores to Chestnut Hill.
DuBose paced the offense with six kills and added six digs. Johnson had four kills and four digs, while
Zakiya Williams (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco Center for the Arts) chipped in with six digs.
Katie Schock led Chestnut Hill (4-5) with seven kills and Courtney Gallo had 10 assists.
The Lady Lions return to action 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Manuel Rivero Hall against West Chester.
