Osho completes perfect weekend

Osho continued to hold down the No. 1 singles spot for the Lions on Sunday.

OXFORD, Pa. (April 10, 2011) — Adedotun Osho (Plainfield, NJ/Plainfield) picked up a win on Sunday, completing a perfect 5-0 weekend for the senior at final Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Round-up.

Osho picked up an 8-6 victory in the No. 1 singles match against Virginia State University's Emmanuel Haug. On Saturday, he earned four wins, two coming in singles and another two in doubles while partnered with Michael Sangster (Belize, C.A/Sacred Heart College).

Overall, the Lions (2-12, 2-11 CIAA) fell to the Trojans, 6-3, with the other match wins coming courtesy of defaults.  Joe Brown began his collegiate career on Saturday with two wins but he received his first loss on Sunday, falling 8-3 with partner Mark Chikwem (Oxford, PA/Oxford Area) in a competitive No. 2 doubles match.

Up Next

The Lions are off until the CIAA Championships beginning April 20 in Petersburg, Va., on the Virginia State campus. There, they will represent the North Division's No. 3 seed after defeating Virginia Union to earn the spot yesterday.
