OXFORD, Pa. (March 28, 2011) —
The Lincoln University softball team suffered setbacks to defending conference champion Chowan University on Monday afternoon in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association action.

Making up games originally scheduled for last Thursday, the Lady Lions lost 17-0 and 23-0 in the doubleheader at the Oxford Athletic Association.

Lincoln (2-12, 2-8 CIAA) totaled five hits including a 2-for-2 performance by freshman shortstop Avree Morton (Uniondale, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) in the first game. In the second game, second baseman Erika Bell (Owings Mills, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic Institute HS) recorded a sharp single through the left side, the Lady Lions' only base knock of the game. She was 2-for-3 on the day.

Erin Rucker (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights HS) (1-11) took both losses to the Hawks (21-15, 11-1 CIAA).
