LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. (March 16, 2011) — Wednesday's Lincoln University baseball and softball games have been postponed to later dates following the overnight storms that hammered much of the Mid-Atlantic.

For the baseball team, this delays the home opener. After a dozen road contests to begin 2011, the Lions were supposed to battle Bloomsburg at 1 p.m. at Oxford Area High School. The twinbill will be made up at a later date. LU returns to action on Friday to face Virginia State in a CIAA doubleheader at 1 p.m. in Petersburg, Va.

The softball team's doubleheader at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del., originally set for 2:30 p.m. today, will be made up on March 22 at 3 p.m. The Lady Lions open their home season at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Oxford Athletic Association. They will take on Chestnut Hill College.
