After long layoff, Lady Lions fall to Huskies

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lincoln University women's basketball team returned from the Thanksgiving break by falling to Bloomsburg University, 85-63, on Monday night at Nelson Field House.
 
Denyse Moore (Hampton, Va./Woodside HS) led three Lady Lions players in double figures with 16 points on 7-of-18 shooting as Lincoln played in first game in 10 days. Tahlar McIntosh (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Alvernia HS) and Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS) each had 11 points as the Lady Lions (3-2) were 21-of-54 shooting for 39 percent.
 
Dana Wieller paced the Huskies with 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including going 7-of-11 from behind the 3-point line. Kelsey Gallagher added 23 points as Bloomsburg (5-1) shot 46 percent (27-of-59) from the floor.
 
The Lady Lions return to action 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Manuel Rivero Hall against Philadelphia University.
