LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. —Virginia State University ferocious net control gave Lincoln University volleyball team more than it could handle cruising, 3-0 (16-25, 14-25, 17-25), displaying why the squad is a CIAA contender.

After dropping the first two games, the Lady Lions shot out to a 6-3 lead, but Lady Trojans 10-1 run put them right back into the driver's seat as they coasted toward a 25-17 victory, sealing the match.

Sophomore Nekia Morris (San Bernadino, CA/San Gorgonio) ) led Lincoln in kills with eight, five of which coming in the final game.  Fellow Sophomore Charity Hart (Richmond, VA/Highland Springs)  aided with five kills of her own. Junior Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS) ended the match with seven assists and five digs.

The Lady Lions next match will be against Chowan University on Friday, October 22nd at Manuel River Hall at 6 p.m.
