Lloyd provides spark for LU in loss

Aaron Lloyd was a spark for the Lions.

PETERSBURG, Va. — Aaron Lloyd (Cheltenham, PA, Cheltenham) scored 11 points, his first game in double digits of 2009-10, and more importantly, since returning from a nearly fatal car accident that forced him to redshirt last year.

The effort, though, came in an 85-61 loss to Virginia State Thursday night at Daniel Gym in Ettrick, Va.

Eugene Smith (West Palm Beach, Fl, PennWood ) continues to develop a post presence for LU. The junior power forward scored 15 point. Damian Hyman (Bronx, NY, Harry S. Truman) continued his tremendous second half of the season with 10 points and four rebounds, a team high.

Virginia State University's Brandon Plummer scored 22 points VSU defeated Lincoln University 85-61 on January 28.

VSU's Brandon Macklin recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

VSU is now 3-15 while Lincoln fell to 2-16.
