WASHINGTON, D.C. —
Stephanie Anderson (Coatesville, PA, Coatesville Area) inched closer to her own single-season goal-scoring mark and
Antonia Jones (Philadelphia, PA, Northeast) scored her second goal of the season, but Gallaudet rallied for a 3-2 win Saturday afternoon.
The scoring began when LU blocked a clearing attempt by
Kara Gulvas and Jones converted on an open net 9:31 into the game. Anderson's 13th goal of the season came on a breakaway at 33:09 on a shot tucked into the right-hand corner. The sophomore needs one more goal in the final week of the season to tie the 14 goals she had last year. Her 27 goals is already an LU career record.
The Lady Bison proved as unrelenting as the windy and rainy conditions, rallying from the 0-2 halftime hole to take the lead with :40 remaining.
The Lincoln women are 5-9 on the year, and the fifth wins are the most in program history. The Lady Lions will look to improve on that record-breaking total in the season finale against Felician College Saturday in Rutherford, N.J.
