Orange Crush to perform in Battle of the Bands

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — The year old Lincoln University marching band is delivering a roaring performance at the Franklin Field in Philadelphia on October 18, 2009.

 

The “Orange Crush” Roaring Lion Marching Band is one of the four Historically Black Universities performing at the Youth Education in the Art Battle of the Bands.  The show begins at 1 p.m. and will also be showcasing Howard, Morgan State and Cheyney Universities.

 

The Battle of the Bands is co-sponsored by WDAS-FM and Power 99 FM. The event will be hosted through a live-broadcast by well-known radio personalities Eddie F and Shamara from Power 99 and Patty Jackson from WDAS-FM. 

 

Youth Education in the Arts, based in Allentown, PA, is a not-for-profit organization, which supports the development of young people into magnificent human beings through participation in the arts.
