Lincoln forces 31 turnovers in setback at St. Augustine's

RALEIGH, N.C. (January 10, 2009) – Tanina Cook (Landover, MD, Charles H. Flowers) scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Lincoln University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team during an 85-49 defeat to Saint Augustine's College Saturday night at Emery Gym. (BOXSCORE)

Teammate Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, MD, Parkside) also reached double figures with 10 points for Lincoln, which will host Saint Augustine's at Rivero Hall on January 24. Chanelle Harris (Philadelphia, PA, Penn Wood)  finished with nine points, five steals and three assists. DeJuana Mosley (Chester, PA, Chester) contributed eight points and six rebounds for the Lady Lions. Angelle Green (Yeadon, PA, Penn Wood) came off the bench to add five points, five steals and three assists.

LaKiesha White scored a game-high 21 points to lead St. Augustine's (7-6 overall). Freshman Keyona Bryant, the reigning HBCU National Player of the Week, scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Also reaching double digits for the Lady Falcons were Crystal McCaffity (12 points) and Allison Sikes (11 points).

Lincoln returns to action Tuesday evening when it play its first home game in 45 days against Livingstone College beginning at 5:30 p.m. St. Augustine's visits Elizabeth City State for a 5:30 p.m. start.
