LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. (October 21, 2008) – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Bowie State University Tuesday evening at Manuel Rivero Hall. (BOXSCORE)
Senior health science major Lindsey Wilson (Aliquippa, PA/Aliquippa) paced Lincln with three kills and senior mass communications major Jordean Matthews (Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) added six digs, two blocks and two kills for the Lady Lions, who fell to 6-18 overall. Lincoln held slim leads in each of the first two games, but Bowie State was still able to prevail, 25-16, 25-17, 25-10.
Itumeleng Shadreck finished with a game-high 12 assists for Bowie State (13-10). The Bulldogs finished with 19 kills and 14 service aces to defeat Lincoln for the second time this season.
Sophomore Raisa Jones (Philadelphia, PA/Masterman) and junior Noel Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) finished with four digs each for Lincoln.
The Lady Lions return to action Thursday evening when they host Virginia Union University beginning at 6:00 p.m. It will be the second match in nine days between Lincoln and Virginia Union.
