The balanced Cavs improved to 7-4 by getting 15 points from Kayleen Smith. Also reaching double digits for Cabrini was Brittany McLeod (12 points), Deanna DiAmico (11 points) and Kate Walck (10 points). Overall, Cabrini had 11 different players score at least two points. Cabrini also had 23 assists on its 27 baskets. The Cavs made 48.4 percent of their shots in the first half to open a 40-14 halftime lead.
Meanwhile, Lincoln (3-10) got 13 points and nine rebounds from DeJuana Mosley. Asha Atkinson (Deptford, NJ/Deptford) reached double figures in scoring for the 50th time in her career with 12 points. Tanina Cook (Landover, MD/Charles H. Flowers) finished with seven points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Lincoln, which shot 22.7 percent for the game (17-for-75), led only once during the game, 3-2, following a Mosley 3-pointer.
Lincoln will return to action on Tuesday January 22 when it begins a five-game home stand against Elizabeth City State University. The Vikings feature Player of the Year candidate Celeste Trahan, who leads Division II in scoring and rebounding. Lincoln's next away game will be on February 9.
