Sal Minor

Sal Minor was named Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Lincoln University in the spring of 2023, following a successful tenure as Interim Head Coach in 2022. Under his leadership, the team earned their first victory since 2019 and achieved a remarkable 3.38 team GPA during the spring 2023 semester, reflecting his commitment to both athletic and academic excellence.

A licensed U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) coach, Minor holds multiple soccer diplomas and certifications, including the NSCAA Level 1 Goalkeeper and Futsal Diplomas, Pre-National Diploma, and Director of Coaching Diploma. He is currently pursuing his D License and also holds a FA Level 1 Talent Identification License from UEFA, demonstrating his dedication to continued professional growth.

Minor’s soccer journey began at age eight, inspired by the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He went on to play for Dover High School, Delaware Technical & Community College (NJCAA D1), and several semi-professional clubs. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, contributing to youth and high school programs including Delaware Union, Lake Forest High School, and Coastal Atlantic Futbol Club.

At Lake Forest High School, Minor was honored as the 2018 Assistant Coach of the Year (Henlopen Southern Division & Delaware Small Schools) and received a nomination for Delaware Assistant Coach of the Year. In 2018, he played a pivotal role in guiding Wesley College’s NCAA DIII team through a historic turnaround and also coached for Philadelphia Lone Stars FC in the USL League Two and National Premier Soccer League.
