Ronald Harge joined the Lincoln University softball prior as an assistant coach prior in Fall 2020.
He came to Lincoln after spending three seasons Washington Adventist University as a volunteer assistant coach and recruiter under Coach William “Hugo” Jackson.
He was involved in many aspects of the program from recruiting, running camps and clinics, team strategy and concepts.
In his primary role as the head hitting coach, Harged helped the Lady Shock take top honors in the conference with a .441 team batting average in his first season. In his first season with WAU, the team won the most games in a single season in the history of the program.
He joined the US Army in 1996, serving as a US Paratrooper at Fort Bragg, NC., and still found time to coach in the very first season for Tar Heel Little league. After 20 years of coaching youth leagues and running his own travel programs, he became an assistant coach at Hennery H. Lackey with full carte blanch over the program. Within three years Lackey’s program became a contender in the SMAC.
He is a graduate from Chesapeake HS in Essex, Maryland, and is a former collegiate two-sport athlete playing both football and baseball for Hampden Sydney College.
Harge graduated from Strayer University with an Associates and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in management. He and his wife, Pierrette, have a blended family of three boys and two girls.
