LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University (Pa.) women's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season as the Lions travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on Shaw University on Monday, September 7.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Wake Stone Park (Field 5) in Knightdale, North Carolina.

LAST TIME OUT
Lincoln (0-0-1) enters Monday's contest looking to build off a resilient performance in its season opener against Bluefield State University. The Lions erased a two-goal second-half deficit to earn a 2-2 draw at LU Athletics Stadium.

After a scoreless opening half, Bluefield State scored twice to take a 2-0 advantage in the 71st minute. Lincoln responded in the closing stages.

Jordan Allison (Baltimore, MD) sparked the comeback with her first goal of the season in the 80th minute. Less than four minutes later, Breanna Steen (Bethel, CT) found the back of the net off an assist from Autumn Clark (Middletown, CA) to even the match at 2-2.

Lincoln finished the contest with a 15-10 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks, while both teams placed five shots on goal.
Allison led the Lions offensively with five shots, two shots on goal, one goal and one assist. Sahida Dumbuya (Freetown, Sierra Leone) was also active in the attacking third, recording a match-high seven shots.

Goalkeeper Nevaeh Washington (Philadelphia, PA) played all 90 minutes and recorded three saves.

SCOUTING SHAW
Shaw enters the matchup after opening its 2026 campaign with a pair of 2-0 road losses against the University of Mount Olive and Barton College. The Lady Bears game against Methodist University which was scheduled for Sunday (Sept. 6) was called due to inclement weather.

The matchup with Lincoln will be Shaw's first home contest of the regular season.

LIONS LOOK TO BUILD MOMENTUM
After displaying its ability to battle back from adversity in the opener, Lincoln will look to carry that momentum into its first road test of the season.

The Lions showed plenty of offensive potential against Bluefield State, generating 15 shots and six corner kicks. Lincoln will look to turn that pressure into scoring opportunities early against the Lady Bears.

Defensively, Ricyonna Walker (Kingston, Jamaica) and the Lions' back line will look to provide another strong effort in front of Washington, while Lincoln's attack will aim to build on the production of Allison, Steen, Dumbuya and Clark.
