Wilmington, DE — January 2, 2026 — Lincoln women's basketball competed deep into the fourth quarter Friday afternoon but came up short in a 58-52 decision against the University of the District of Columbia.
Lincoln was led by Anyia Gibson (Edgewood, MD/), who finished with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Kaziah Akinniyi (Baltimore, Md./Poly) added 13 points with two three-pointers. Hunter Conway (Detroit, MI/Belleville HS) chipped in nine points and four assists, and Riley Holliday (Baltimore, MD/) anchored the glass with 11 rebounds.
The Lions kept it tight throughout, trading momentum with multiple ties and lead changes, and made a push in the third quarter to stay within striking distance. Lincoln continued to compete defensively and on the boards, but UDC was able to generate key possessions late to close out the game.
