Lincoln University, PA - January 17, 2026 - Lincoln University women's basketball competed with energy and resilience on Friday afternoon but fell to Bowie State, 65–55, in CIAA action at Chase Fieldhouse.
The Lions were led by a strong performance from Kaziah Akinniyi (Baltimore, Md./Poly), who finished with a game-high 22 points, going 7-for-16 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 at the free-throw line. Despite trailing for much of the contest, Lincoln showed grit in the fourth quarter, outscoring Bowie State 22–10 in the final period and cutting the deficit to single digits late.
The Lions forced 11 turnovers and converted 20 points off Bowie miscues, but Bowie State's early scoring runs in the first and third quarters proved to be the difference.
