DURHAM, N.C. – May 4, 2025 – The Lincoln University (Pa.) men's and women's track & field teams capped their outdoor season with a strong showing at the 2025 CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning multiple podium finishes, personal bests, and team points in one of the conference's most competitive weekends.
Women's Highlights
Senior Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) headlined the weekend with a third-place finish in the 100m hurdles (13.81) and a fourth-place finish in the 100m dash, capping off an impressive season of consistency and leadership.
Senior Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) became a CIAA Champion in the 400m, racing to a personal-best 53.89—good for No. 6 among HBCUs and No. 14 in NCAA Division II. Senior Jazlynn Church (Wilmington, Del./The Charter School) added a fifth-place finish in the 800m (2:21.57), while junior Amani Adams (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Flanagan) placed eighth in the 400m hurdles to earn key points.
Freshman Gabrielle Lanier delivered a breakout meet, placing fourth in the high jump (1.50m) and seventh in the triple jump (11.11m)—making an immediate impact in field events.
Men's Highlights
Senior Jude Butumbi (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) captured the CIAA title in the long jump, soaring 7.39m (24-03.00) to secure Lincoln's top individual performance of the weekend. The mark ranks 12th among HBCUs and 19th in Division II.
Sophomore Adam Green (Pottstown, PA/Pottstown) added gold in the pole vault (3.75m) and placed 10th in the high jump (1.94m PR), showcasing Lincoln's depth in vertical jumps.
Senior Jordan Hall (Randallstown, Md./Newtown) recorded a season-best 53.40 in the 400m hurdles to place fifth, then anchored the men's 4x400m relay—joined by Nasir Scott (Levittown, Pa./Harriet Tubman), Asad Reese (Philadelphia,PA/Imhotep), and Lamine Kane (Baltimore, MD/Woodlawn HS)—to a season-best time of 3:22.49.
