Davie, Fla. – December 19, 2025 — Lincoln women's basketball opened play in the NSU December Classic with a 77–57 victory over the University of Fort Lauderdale on Friday afternoon at Rick Case Arena.
The Lions shot 45.2% from the field and controlled the interior with 46 points in the paint, using a strong third quarter to create separation. Lincoln outscored Fort Lauderdale 26–18 in the third to turn a competitive game into a comfortable cushion heading into the final period.
Kaziah Akinniyi (Baltimore, Md./Poly) led Lincoln with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Anyia Gibson (Edgewood, MD/) followed with 11 points and made her presence felt defensively with four blocks and three steals. Shyne Hall (Chester, PA/STEM) added 10 points off the bench, while T'Nyah Riggins (Allentown, PA/Executive Education Academy Charter) chipped in eight.
Lincoln also got balanced production across the lineup, including seven rebounds from Riley Holliday (Baltimore, MD/), and finished with 23 points off turnovers after forcing Fort Lauderdale into 20 giveaways.
