SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - November 14, 2025 - Lincoln University Women's Basketball opened the 2025-26 season with a hard-fought effort in the PSAC/CIAA Challenge but came up short in a 75–66 loss to Millersville at Heiges Field House.
After a slow start that saw Millersville build an early lead, the Lions settled in and showed strong resilience throughout the night. Junior guard Alaila Walker (Kalamazoo, Mich./Central) led the way with a standout performance, scoring 23 points on 7-of-18 shooting, including four three-pointers and a perfect 5-for-5 at the free-throw line. Freshman Shyne Hall (Chester, PA/STEM) provided a huge spark off the bench with eight points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting clip.
Sophomore forward Kaziah Akinniyi (Baltimore, Md./Poly) added 10 points, while Hunter Conway (Detroit, MI/Belleville) gave the Lions energy and efficiency with 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
Lincoln's best surge came in the fourth quarter, where the Lions knocked down five threes and outscored Millersville 20–22 to close the gap, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
Lincoln (0–1) will look to bounce back tomorrow as they continue the PSAC/CIAA Challenge against host Shippensburg on Saturday, November 15 at 7:00 PM.
