Lincoln Cross Country Shines at Home Invitational Tune-Up

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – October 16, 2025 – Lincoln University cross country closed out its home regular-season schedule in dominant fashion at the Lincoln XC Invitational Tune-Up on Thursday afternoon, as both the men's and women's teams earned team victories in front of their home crowd.

Men's 4000m – Lincoln Claims Team Title Behind Jones' First-Place Finish

Sophomore Thomas Jones (Washington, DC) continued his impressive fall season, winning the men's 4K race with a time of 14:17.01, leading a strong overall performance by the Lions. Lincoln placed five runners inside the top ten, easily securing the team title.

Sophomore Lamine Kane (Baltimore, MD) finished fourth (15:29.80), while senior Brandon Beh Go Beh (7th, 16:32.27), sophomore Kelvin Coley (Brooklyn, NY) (8th, 16:49.19), and junior Adam Green (9th, 16:56.25) rounded out the Lions' scoring pack. Senior Nasir Scott (Trenton, NJ) also turned in a solid effort, finishing 14th overall with a time of 18:29.43.

Lincoln's consistency across its lineup proved decisive, earning the top team score on the men's side and marking a statement performance ahead of championship season.

Women's 4000m – McLean Leads 1–2–3 Sweep for the Lions

The women's team followed with an equally impressive effort, sweeping the top three spots and placing six runners inside the top 20 to claim the overall team title.

Junior Miranda McLean led from start to finish, crossing the line in 17:35.58 for first place. Freshman Dayshana Kellogg (Detroit, MI) (17:49.66) and sophomore Madison Morgan (Piscataway, NJ) (17:49.69) finished close behind to complete the 1–2–3 sweep.

Sophomore Isabella Wright (Bear, DE) placed 11th (19:38.63), while senior Amani Adams (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) (18th, 20:32.21), sophomore Leannah Jordan (Montclair, NJ) (25th, 21:58.15), and freshman Daleeha Alexander (26th, 22:02.51) rounded out a deep and balanced performance for the Lions.

Next Up

Lincoln's men's and women's cross country teams will now shift their focus to the postseason, competing at the CIAA Cross Country Championships on Thursday, October 23, with the meet set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
