LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania softball program will forever have their names etched in the school's record books, finishing the campaign with a single-season best 13 victories after never having won more than eight games since the program was established in 2008.

Lincoln (PA) Top Performers:
 

• Kailee Richmond (Womelsdorf, Pa./Conrad Weiser) did not yield a single earned run in the opener yet still got saddled with the defeat, pitching a complete game in which she allowed four unearned runs, seven hits, and four walks plus five Ks.

 

• Kevyn Jones (Baltimore, Md./Paul Laurence Dunbar) must hope that her final outing of 2023 is a sign of the season to come, ending the year by going 4-for-4 in game two and 5-of-6 (.833) overall including one of her four singles driving in a baserunner.

 

• Aliya Rose (Lutherville, Md./Maryvale Preperatory) picked up a pair of singles as well, plating two on an RBI-groundout and a sacrifice fly to go along with stealing a base.

 

• Chloe Foster (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) came on with the nightcap knotted up at four in the top of the fifth and went into lockdown mode, giving up just a single baserunner (walk) with four punchouts to earn the dub.

 

• Senior Jasmin Lewis (Baltimore, Md./Western) and freshman Maison Burton (Frederick, Md./Frederick) showed a positive glimpse of the past and the future, combining to hit .556 (5-for-9) and scoring three times.

 

• Lastly, the only two extra-base knocks came from Cailyn Dove (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck Senior) and MacKienzee Rasheed (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills), both blasting doubles with the former's two-bagger bringing home the latter on the basepaths.

• Head Coach Zadaisha Waddell ends her debut season with the most triumphs ever by a first-year coach for Lincoln softball (13) and will enter the 2024 campaign two wins away from tying for the all-time lead, currently held by Jill Freese, who had 15 wins over three seasons (2017-2019).
