LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania softball program had a chance to make a statement against the undefeated Northern Division leaders, the Bowie State Bulldogs, and did just that, hanging tough while losing by a combined four runs despite the doubleheader sweep.

- Chloe Foster (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) was spectacular in the game one loss, allowing just one unearned run and eight baserunners on top of four whiffs but was unable to receive any run support.

- Tia Brown (Newark, N.Y./Newark) had a solid pitching and hitting performance in the back half of the twin bill, giving up three earned runs (six overall) and three hits while averaging a strikeout per inning (6.0 IP) to go along with a two-hit, one RBI and one run scored showing at the plate.

- Maison Burton (Frederick, Md./Frederick) reached safely thrice in the nightcap, getting hit by a pair of pitches, singling in her lone true at-bat, stole a base, and crossed the plate.

- Kevyn Jones (Baltimore, Md./Paul Laurence Dunbar) had the only extra-base hit of the day, a double, Cailyn Dove (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck Senior) had a base knock in each contest, and Irlynn Richardson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) drew a free pass plus swiped two bags.
