LEXINGTON, Va. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania men and women's track programs saw one student-athlete snag two gold medals, had a relay team claim bronze, logged a pair of top-six finishers, and set seven personal-records in a fantastic weekend on the campus of the Virginia Military Institute.

The possible frontrunner for CIAA Field Athlete of the Week,
Glenn Butler, Jr. (Greenburgh, N.Y./White Plains) had the meet of his life, coming in first place for not one, but both of the events he competed in. Butler rose to the top of the high jump list with a leap of 2.05m before soaring 7.60m in the long jump to come away victorious in each outing.

Jayden Rodriguez (Hillside, N.J./North Star Academy) reached the semifinals of the 60 hurdles with a time of 23.12 seconds while
Jude Butumbi (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) (22.85 in 200m),
Ra'ar Corinaldi (Philadelphia, Pa./Hill Freedman Academy) (50.81 in 400m), and
Irvin Marable (Somers Point, N.J./Pleasantville) (2:00.68 in 800m) all broke their PRs regarding their times finished.

The highest placement among all runners on the weekend belonged to the women's 4x400m relay team comprised of
Nakacee McNab (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport),
Jazlynn Church (Wilmington, Del./The Charter School),
Angel Adams (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Flanagan), and
Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester), who sprinted around the oval in 3:59.71 to finish in third place.

Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) was the fastest individual performer on the track at VMI, securing fourth in the 60 hurdles in a time of 8.93 seconds.

Johns, along with being the anchor of the bronze winning relay quartet, came in sixth place for her mark of 57.65 during the 400m dash.
Â
Adams joined Johns in accomplishing another feat outside of the 4x400m, putting together a new personal-low benchmark in the 400m at 1:01.78.

Finally,
Avionne Barnes (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) was the third lady from LU to break a PR, doing so for her 800m dash that she crossed the finish line in 2:31.31.

The teams will compete in its final tune-up before the CIAA Indoor Championships on February 12-13 when it stays in the Keystone State for the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College on Saturday, February 4 inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Center.
