Women’s Basketball Looks To Keep Momentum Rolling Vs. Shaw

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania women's basketball program has won a week's worth of games in-a-row and have their eyes set upon an eighth consecutive victory when it hosts Shaw University on Saturday afternoon.

The ladies have been dominant on the boards particularly on the offensive glass, ranking 20th in the country for rebounds per game at 42.78 and is second nationally regarding offensive rebounds a night (18.1). LU has also been stout protecting the perimeter on defense, slotting among the NCAA's top-40 in three-point percentage allowed (26.7%) and is the best in the CIAA for scoring offense at 69.8 points per contest.
 
Anyssa Fields (Long Branch, N.J./Long Branch) is regarded as one of the top players in the conference this season, slotting top-five in the league for field-goal percentage (42.1%), field goals made (102), scoring (15.3), rebounds per game (8.1), total boards (145), and three-pointers (32).
 
Kania Pollock (Queens, N.Y./The Mary Louis Academy) is the defensive catalyst for Coach Washington, leading the team and among the top-ten league-wide for steals per game (1.93) while sporting the fourth-best field-goal percentage (39.7%) and sixth-highest scoring average (15.0) among her peers in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
