Three event wins highlight final tune-up

COLLEGEVILLE – In the final indoor meet before the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships, a select number of Lincoln University track & field athletes took the short trip to Ursinus College for the 2022 Frank Colden Invitational.

Three men's participants recorded event victories in the non-scored meet. Freshman Jude Butumbi (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) claimed the triple jump with a career-long distance of 13.39 meters. Sophomore Spencer Seide (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) turned in his best 200-meter performance of the season, winning the event with a time of 23.41 seconds.

After qualifying second in the prelims, freshman Jordan Hall (Randallstown, Md./Newtown) claimed the 60-meter dash with a career-best time of 7.19 seconds. Traditionally a 60-meter hurdler, Hall used this meet to fine-tune his speed work ahead of the championships.

On the women's side, freshman Aisha Carrington (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) placed second in the long jump with a distance of 5.00 meters, while sophomore Nakacee McNab (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) finished the 400-meter run in fourth place with a time of 1:02.71.

Lincoln travels to Winston Salem for the CIAA Championships Sunday and Monday.
