RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Lincoln University volleyball dropped a straight-set non-conference match Saturday to Felician, 25-19, 25-23, 25-16, at Job Gymnasium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lincoln produced positive hitting percentage in each of the first two sets.
- Junior Erica Taylor (Romulus, MI/Romulus Summit Academy) finished with a team-high 10 kills on 25 attempts. She added five service aces and tied for the team lead with 10 digs.
- Sophomore Jaida Lumpkin (Middletown, Del./Middletown) also had 10 digs for the Lions, while leading the team with 12 assists. Freshman Janaa Smith (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) added 11 assists for Lincoln.
- Freshman Laila Newborn (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) finished with a career-high six blocks, two solo blocks and four block assists.
WHAT'S NEXT
- Lincoln (5-18) wraps up the season with a 6 p.m. meeting against Shaw inside Manuel Rivero Gymnasium. Prior to the game Lincoln will honor Jasmine Lewis for Senior Day.
