Track & Field competes at HBCU Showcase

NEW YORK, NY – The Lincoln University track & field teams returned to action in more than a month, competing in the HBCU Showcase at the Armory Track & Field Center.

Freshman Kamani Johns (Chester, Pa./Chester) was the lone women's athlete to score for the Lions, placing fifth in the 400-meter with the time of 58.23 seconds. Freshman Storm Wright (Washington, DC/E.L. Haynes Charter) shaved a couple tenths off her personal best in the 200 meters, finishing with the time of 27.90 seconds.

On the men's side, freshman Jordan Hall (Randallstown, Md./Newtown) brought home the points, placing sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with the time of 8.37 seconds. Sophomore Dominic George (Wyncote, Pa./Cheltenham) just missed scoring in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.14 seconds.

Lincoln returns to action Friday at the Gotham Cup in Staten Island.
