Today's installment  spotlights athletes who wore the #31

Charles Coleman was 6’7” center and a four-year member of the Lincoln men’s basketball team from 1968-72 appearing in at least 79 games.  During his four years, the Lions had one of the most dominating conference runs in the area.  As a member of the six-team Delaware Valley Conference, the Lions produced an incredible 39-1 record in DVC games, winning four conference titles and advancing toi the NAIA District 19 playoffs all-four years.  A steady performer on an offense that averaged over 90 points per game, Coleman was one of the first player’s from the 1970’s to score 1,000 career points, finishing his career with 1,012.  During the 1970-71 season he scored 384 points and grabbed 398 rebounds (3rd highest single season total in program history).  He ranks among the Lions’ top-15 all time in eight different categories.  Lincoln recorded a 68-36 overall record (.653) during the course of his career.

Andre Williams is a defensive back who has appeared in 19 of the Lions’ 20 games the past two seasons. In his first season, Williams recovered a blocked punt in the end zone against Bowie State for his only touchdown score in his career thus far.  The following year he appeared in all ten Lincoln games and recorded 30 tackles (27 of them solo).  He has 42 tackles for his career with three going for loss.

Kevin Norris played three seasons as a defensive back/safety from 2014-16 on the Lincoln football team. During his three seasons he appeared in 21 games, including all ten in 2015.  In 2015, he recorded three interceptions, and returned two of them for touchdowns one at Fayetteville State and the other against Virginia Union.  Norris had 22 tackles in 2015 and added 37 in 2016, finishing his career with 62 total tackles, including six for loss.  He ranks in the Lions’ top 15 all time in six different statistical categories.

Charlie Cabaniss was a quarterback/halfback for the lions from 1945-1948.  His play on the field helped guide the Lions to an 8-3 record in 1946 under legendary coach Manny Rivero.  In his senior year, The Lions went 7-4 under new coach Chester Stackhouse.  During his four seasons of play, Lincoln won 22 games while losing 16..
