Three players scored in double figures as the Lincoln University women's bsasketball team won their fourth straight game, defeating Elizabeth City State University 69-43 Monday evening at Manuel Rivero Hall.

The Lions improve to 17-3 overall and 7-1 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association games. Lincoln is also 3-0 in division games and in first place in the CIAA North. Their 17 wins equals last season's win total. The Vikings fall to 7-12 overall and 3-6 in league play.

Kwanza Murray (Summerville, S.C./Summerville (Lackawanna College)) led all scorers with 17 points while
DeAshia Young (Detroit, Mich./Detroit Public Safety Academy (Labette CC)) and
Kenzie Spencer (Richmond, Va./Henrico) added 12 points apiece. Â Â
Alisia Machado (Brooklyn, N.Y./Medgar Evars Prep (Grambling)) led the team with seven rebounds and three blocks. Â Young led the Lions with a game high six assists, her last being her 100
th of the season, becoming just the second player in program history to record back-to-back seasons of 100 or more assists.

Lincoln used a solid second quarter, outscoring the Vikings 21-7 in the period to take control of the game and take an 18 point lead at the break., 38-20. The Lions scored ten of their 21 points off ECSU turnovers in the quarter.Â
Joy Morton (Lansdowne, Pa./Penn Wood (Harford C.C.)) contributed six points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals in just six minutes of action during the period.

A 13-4 run over the first 4:42 of the third quarter pushed the Lions lead to 27. Murray had seven of the 13 points in the run and Young added six. A 9-2 run by the Vikings cut the lead back to 20 before the Lions scored the final seven points of the period.Â

The Vikings outscored the Lions 10-9 in the final stanza but came no closer than 24 points.

Devona Stell led the Vikings with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Nyasia Blango added 13.Â

The Lions forced a total of 30 turnovers by the Vikings and scoring 28 points off their miscues. Both teams grabbed 48 rebounds with the Vikings having a slight 21-19 advantage on the offensive glass. Lincoln was solid on the foul line, making 12 of 14 shots while the Vikings connected on just six of 15 attempts.

The Lions return home to face the Bowie State University Bulldogs on Saturday. The Bulldogs are tied with the Lions and #4 in the D2SIDA Atlantic Region Media Poll which was released on Monday. Tipoff at Manuel Rivero Hall is set for 2:00 p.m.
