The Lincoln University women's soccer team took on the defending NCAA division II national champions, the University of Bridgeport on Saturday, falling to the Purple Knights 15-0 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The Lions fall to 0-6 overall, 0-2 in East Coast Conference games. The Purple Knights improve to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Bridgeport scored ten goals in the first half and added five more in the second. Maegan Doyle led 13 different players scoring points for the Purple Knights with four goals and an assist (nine points).

Lena Rodriguez (Lockport, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) had ten saves on the afternoon.Â
Kenya Davis (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo) had the lone shot on goal for the Lions, who were outshot 25-1 on goal and 35-2 overall.
