The Lincoln University women's basketball team recorded another program first on Tuesday with the release of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Division II Sports Information Directors Association (D2SIDA) Division II National Top 25 polls.
The Lions received votes in both polls, marking the first time in program history that the women's basketball team has gotten national recognition in either of the two NCAA division II polls.
In the D2SIDA National Media poll, the Lions earned six points to be among eight schools not among the top 25 to receive votes from any 16 voting members (two from each region).
In the WBCA poll, Lincoln received 12 total points and were among 16 schools not voted into the top 25 to receive votes on more than one ballot.
