The Lincoln University women's volleyball team closed out their 2019 season Thursday night with a 3-1 loss at Bowie State University.

The Lions end the season at 1-21 overall and 1-14 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association games. Bowie State improves to 6-17 overall and 4-11 in league play.

The Bulldogs captured the first set 25-14 before the Lions rebounded to take the second set
25-22; taking advantage of 19 set, service and attack errors by the Bulldogs. Four Lincoln players had at least one kill with
Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) recording two of the Lions five total kills in the set.

Tied at one set apiece, the Bulldogs proceeded to win the final two sets 26-17 and 25-22 to take the match.

Princess Robinson (Oxon Hill, Md./Oxon Hill) led the Lions with five kills apiece while
Jasmin Lewis (Baltimore/Western) added four.Â
Renesha Love-Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Edmondson-Westside) had 17 assists setting the Lincoln offense.Â
Tymera Crudup (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) led the team with two aces and 17 digs.Â
Tierra Russaw (Westland, Mich./Summit Academy), in her final collegiate match added eight digs. Â
Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) had eight total blocks, seven solo, both career highs.
