Kenya Davis (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo) produced a hat trick and
Tamara Evans (Clayton, Del./Smyrna) added two goals as a shorthanded Lincoln University women's soccer team came away with big 5-1 win over the University of Valley Forge.
Lincoln is now 1-6 while Valley Forge falls to 3-9.
Fielding just ten players the entire game, Lincoln's offense came out on fire producing 12 shots on goal in the first 20 minutes. It wasn't until the 26
th minute however that the Lions got on the board as Davis put the first of her three goals past the UVF keeper, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead.
Valley Forge tied the game late in the first half before Davis added her second goal of the game with Evans earning the assist in the 41
st minute.
In the second half, Evans' first goal of the season hit the lower left corner of the net in the 57
th minute to make the score 3-1. Davis completed the hat trick in the 69
th minute of play, taking  a pass from
Cedar Davidson (Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada/Aurora) and putting in past the UVF keeper for a 4-1 lead. Evans added her second goal of the game in the 78
th minute to complete the scoring.

Lena Rodriguez (Lockport, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) earned the win, recording 11 saves.  Lincoln outshot the Patriots 43-20 (28-12 on goal).Â
Lincoln returns to action on Friday when they take on Roberts Wesleyan College at Lions Stadium. Kickoff is at 5:00 p.m.
