The Lincoln University Women's Soccer team hosts Molloy College Lions on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the Battle of the Lions. This is Lincoln's second game of a three game homestand. Lincoln seeks their first win of the season coming into the game at 0-8 and 0-3 in East Coast Conference games.

Lincoln Preview:
Statistically, the Lions had one of their best games of the season in Thursday's 6-1 loss to Chowan. The team recorded a season-high 12 total shots and 11 shots on goal. Lincoln also produced more corner kicks than their opponent for the first time this season.
The Lions have lost 11 straight games dating back to last season, tying the school record for consecutive losses with Thursday's defeat.
Senior
Diana Martinez (Kissimmee, Fla./St. Cloud) scored the Lions only goal against Chowan. She leads the team with three goals and an assist. Martinez had unassisted goals in the loss to Queens College and in a loss to Salem University on 9/8. She also added an assist in the loss to Chestnut Hill on 9/5.
Freshman goalkeeper
Megan Dakwa (Gaithersburg, Md./Watkins Mill) made her season debut against Chowan, recording 11 saves. Fellow freshman
Sarata Bello (Sagamu, Nigeria/Remo Methodist) notched five shots on goal – the most by a Lincoln player in a game this season.
Junior goalkeeper
Lena Rodriguez (Lockport, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) recorded a career high 17 saves against NYIT and currently leads the East Coast conference with 79 totals saves, averaging 11.29 per game. Both number also rank in the top three nationally. Rodriguez also became the second goalkeeper in program history to record 300 or more saves, reaching the mark early in the first half against the Bears.
Freshman
Kenya Davis (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo) scored Lincoln's first goal of the season in the loss to Chestnut Hill putting the ball in the net after Martinez's shot on goal was deflected by the CHC goalie and came right to her for the put back.
As a team the Lions lead the league in saves/game, averaging 14.00. This number is the second highest total in all of Division II women's soccer.
Molloy Preview
The Lions won their last contest, defeating Dominican College 1-0 on Wednesday. Dana Poetzsch scoring Molloy's only goal of the game with Jessica Mauro recording the assist. Poetzsch finished the game with eight shots (six on goal). The Lions defense limited the Chargers to just one shot on goal.
Molloy's two conference losses were to LIU Post (3-0 on 9/22) and Daemen College (3-2 on 9/15).
Lexi Verni and Joanna Graca lead the Lions with two goals apiece. Poetzsch is second on the team with three points, with an assist in the Lions 2-2 tie with Bentley and the goal vs. Dominican. Verni and Poetzsch are the team leaders in shots with 27 and 25 respectively and shots on goal (18 and 16)
