Jada Queen (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) recorded her first collegiate double-double as the Lincoln University women's basketball team placed five players in double figures and cruised to a 93-54 road win over Washington Adventist University Sunday afternoon in Takoma Park, Maryland

The Lions improve to 4-5 on the season while the Shock drop to 7-6 following the loss.

Queen scored 13 points (6-11 FG) and grabbed 11 rebounds while also swiping a game high four steals on the afternoon.Â
Bryanna Brown (New York, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin (Nyack)) and
Jamari Tillman (Louisville, Ky./Doss) also had 13 points apiece, equaling Queen's scoring output for team-high honors. Â Â
Alisia Machado (Brooklyn, N.Y./Medgar Evars Prep (Grambling)) filled up the stat sheet with 12 points (8-9 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and a blocked shot.Â
Deja Reynolds (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter (Temple)), the hero of Wednesday night's win over Shippensburg, rounded out the double figure scorers with ten points.

Lincoln finished with 18 steals in the game, their most since getting 23 against Washington Adventist in November 2014. The Lions' 21 assists, 33 total field goals and 11 three-point baskets are also season highs.

Diamond Rankine led the Shock with 11 points while Candice Berner added nine.

The Lions took control of the game early on, going on a 19-2 run following WAU's game opening three-point field goal to take a 19-5 lead with 3:13 left in the period. The Shock cut the margin to nine by the end of the quarter 22-13. Brown led the Lions' attack with six points while Queen added five and
Kenzie Spencer (Richmond, Va./Henrico) chipped in four.

Lincoln exploded for 17 straight points to start the second quarter, jumping out to a 39-13 lead with 4:31 left before the Shock broke the streak with a basket at the 3:22 mark. Two three point baskets from Tillman along with three-balls from
DeeDee Irwin (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) and
Shakira Edwards (Newark, N.J./Bloomfield Tech) highlighted the run. The Shock finished the quarter on an 8-2 run to make the score 41-21 at halftime.

WAU's Aryanna Hutcherson opened the third quarter with a three point field goal to cut LU's lead to 17. Lincoln responded with an 18-4 uprising with
Taylor King (Lorton, Va./Hayfield Academy) and
DeAshia Young (Detroit, Mich./Detroit Public Safety Academy (Labette CC)) each hitting a pair of free throws at the end of the run to give the Lions a 31-point lead 59-28 with 2:06 left (their largest of the quarter).  The Shock again produced a mini run at the end of the quarter, this one a 9-1 effort to cut the lead to 23 60-37 heading into the final quarter.

The Lions outscored the Shock 33-17 in the fourth period to reach the 90-point plateau for the first time this season and just the second time in the last three seasons. Machado's two free throws with 4:17 left gave the Lions their largest lead of the game at 42 points, 84-42 before settling in for 39-point win 93-54.

The women's basketball team returns to action on Thursday, December 13, 2018 when they host Johnson C. Smith in the first of four consecutive Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) games before the Christmas holiday break. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
