Lincoln University, Pa. - The Lincoln University women's basketball team will play the third game of their four game homestand when they host Livingstone in a CIAA divisional crossover game on Monday, December 17, 2018
The Series:
Monday night's game will be the 16
th meeting between Livingstone and Lincoln. Livingstone leads the all time series, 8-7 while Lincoln has won the last three times these two teams have met, including both games last season. Last year's second meeting was in the opening round of the CIAA Tournament. An Impressive Debut- Part II
Kwanza Murray (Summerville, S.C./Summerville (Lackawanna College)) was impressive in her Lincoln women's basketball debut on Saturday against Winston-Salem State, breaking the school record for three point field goals in a game and scoring 24 points. Murray connected on six three point shots (in eight attempts) to break the school record of five held by four different players and last equaled by teammate
DeeDee Irwin (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) last season. The junior transfer from Lackawanna College finished the game with 24 points (9-16 FG) and added seven rebounds and one assist to lead the Lions.
Last time Out
Kwanza Murray (Summerville, S.C./Summerville (Lackawanna College)) scored 24 points and broke the school record for three-point field goals in a game with six but the Lions offense sputtered in the fourth quarter as Winston-Salem State University pulled away for an 80-72 win Saturday afternoon at Manuel Rivero Hall.
Deja Reynolds (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter (Temple)) joined Murray as the two Lions players reaching double figure scoring with 13 points. She also dished out a game-high five assists.
Kenzie Spencer (Richmond, Va./Henrico) grabbed ten rebounds and had two blocks to pace LU's defense.

Deja Reynolds (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter (Temple)) and
Shakira earned Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Basketball weekly award honors for their performances during the week ending December 9, 2018.
Edwards was named the CIAA Rookie of the Week while Reynolds was named the CIAA Newcomer of the Week. This week's honors are the second for both players with Reynold's earning Newcomer of the Week honors back on November 21 and Edwards garnering Rookie of the Week honors a week earlier.

Alisia Machado (Brooklyn, N.Y./Medgar Evars Prep (Grambling)) became just the third Lincoln women's basketball player in the program's NCAA Division II history to record 17 or more rebounds in a game, joining teammate

Scouting the Blue Bears
The Blue Bears are currently 3-6 overall and 0-1 in CIAA games. Livingstone lost their last game 82-64 to Virginia Union on Saturday.
Three players are averaging double figures scoring for the Blue Bears, led by Daisa Harris. Harris is averaging 22.7 points per game.
