The Lincoln University women's volleyball team lost the final match of their two game North Carolina road swing Monday night, falling to Chowan University 3-0 at the Helms Center in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.
 
The Lions fall to 1-12 overall and 1-10 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) contests.  Chowan improves to 7-11 overall and 7-4 in league play.  The Hawks swept the three sets with scores of 25-8, 25-16 and 25-14.
 
Mikhi Wright (Philadelphia, Pa./Girls High) led Lincoln with four kills and 
Janae Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore PolyTech) had a team-high two aces.  
Alisa Foster (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) had 11 assists setting up the Lions offense.  On defense, 
Tymera Crudup (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) had 12 digs.
 
Kayla Gates led the Hawks with 13 kills while Micayla Pope recorded 26 assists setting the Chowan offense.   Alyssa Born had 15 digs to lead the Hawks and Breona young had four blocks.
 
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, October 13, 2018 with a non-conference tri-match at Felician College in Rutherford, New Jersey.  The Lions will face Jefferson University at 1:00 p.m. before playing host Felician at 3:00 p.m.
