The Lincoln University women's soccer team concluded their season Friday afternoon with a road contest against nationally ranked Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York with the Mavericks recording an 11-1 win.

Diana Martinez (Kissimmee, Fla./St. Cloud) scored the lone goal for the Lions, taking a pass from
Catera Simpson (Clinton, Md./Surrattsville (Northampton C.C.)) and shooting the ball into the lower left corner past the Maverick goaltender in the 87
th minute.

The Lions finished with nine shots on the day and were outshot 26-9.Â
Sarata Bello (Sagamu, Nigeria/Remo Methodist) had three shots while
Cedar Davidson (Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada/Aurora) added two.

Corrinna Ferrante and Haley Noble had three goals apiece for the Mavericks who scored ten times in the first half.Â

Melissa Torres earned the win in goal for the Mavericks while
Megan Dakwa (Gaithersburg, Md./Watkins Mill) took the loss for the Lions.

Lincoln finishes their season at 0-16 and 0-9 in East Coast conference games. Mercy, ranked #7 nationally and #1 in the East Region concludes their regular season with a 12-2-1 mark and a 7-1-1 record in league play.
