The Lincoln University women's soccer team played a rare morning contest on Wednesday as they faced East Coast Conference foe Daemen College at Lions Stadium. The Wildcats defeated the Lions 9-1.
Daemen improves to 7-6-1 overall and 5-3 in ECC games. Lincoln falls to 0-13, 0-7 in league play.
Tamara Evans (Clayton, Del./Smyrna) scored the Lions only goal of the game in the 67
th minute, taking a pass from
Kenya Davis (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo) and sending the ball into the left side of the net.
The Wildcats scored four times in the first period and added five more in the first 13 minutes of the second half to account for their nine goals. Jamie Boyar led the way with five goals and two assists.
Lincoln finished the game with nine shots on goal while Daemen had 11. Daemen also had a 17-13 advantage in total shots.
The Lions return to action on Monday, October 23, 2018 when they travel to New York to face Saint Thomas Aquinas College.
