VSU's Trenton Cannon came right back with a 95-yard kickoff return on the Trojans next possession and added a 70 yard run before the half ended to give VSU a 46-7 lead at halftime.

Following two more VSU scores, Espinoza connected with Trey McCollum (Burlington, N.C./Western Alamance) from five yards out  to close the gap to 60-14.  Andre Price (Rialto, Calif./Jurupa Hills (Chabot)) caught Espinoza's final touchdown pass of the day, a 12-yard toss on the Lions opening possession in the fourth quarter.
