ELIZABETH CITY STATE, N.C. – Sophomore
De'jah Taylor (Nanuet, NY/Paramus Catholic Regional) tallied her first career double-double off of the Lady Lions bench scoring ten points with a season-high ten rebounds in a 60-50, road loss at Elizabeth City State University on Wednesday, February 11
th in the RL Vaughan Center.
In their final road game of the season the Lady Lions fell behind early as the Lady Vikings got off to an early 11-0 advantage in the opening moments of the CIAA Northern Divisional dual. Lincoln's offense struggled from the field as the ECSU advantage grew to 16, their largest lead of the game by the 15:24 mark. The Lady Vikings were scorching from downtown nailing 5-of-12 from three-point range in the half.

Mieana Gaines (Lincoln Park, MI/Southfield University Academy) and senior
Zephrah Pam (Syracuse, NY/Monroe CC) got Lincoln rolling scoring several points in the paint while sophomore
Jailen Murphy (Nashville, TN/Brentwood Academy) had eight first half points to lead the Lady Lions. Murphy's layup with 2:48 left in the half cut the ECSU lead to three (31-28), but a late three-pointer gave the Lady Vikings a 34-28 halftime lead.
Lincoln was held to six made baskets in the second half and forced into 12 turnovers. Despite their struggles from the field, the Lady Lions went 9-for-14 at the charity stripe led by
Zephrah Pam (Syracuse, NY/Monroe CC)'s four made. Freshman
Teira Pendleton (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute)'s pair of free-throws at the 8:14 mark cut the ECSU lead down to three (44-41). Lincoln forced an ECSU turnover on the next possession and
Courtney Smith (Milwaukee, WI/Nicolet HS)'s second three-pointer of the night tied the game for the first time at 44-44.
Down the stretch, the Lady Vikings converted on free-throws to pull back ahead at home. Several missed baskets in the final two minutes led to a Lincoln road loss against Elizabeth City State, 60-50. Lincoln drops to 17-6 overall and 9-4 in the CIAA.
