LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Seniors
Audrey Smylie (Baltimore, MD/Western HS) and
Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) were honored at halftime of their final home game as a Lady Lion against Wilmington University. Lincoln loss 5-0 on Thursday, October 29
th to the Wildcats closing out their 2015 season.
The Lady Lions attempted nine shots in the season finale against Wilmington. Junior
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) fired four shots with two reaching the goal while
Audrey Smylie (Baltimore, MD/Western HS) had the other shot on goal. Wilmington took a 1-0 lead by the 7
th minute of action in the first period. The LU defense held off the Wildcat attack for the remaining of the period anchored by goal keeper
Kaylee Dennis (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run HS). Dennis finished with seven saves including three in the first period.
Wilmington came out in the second period and attempted 12 shots. Lincoln allowed four second half goals and suffered a 5-0 shutout. The Lady Lions end their 2015 season with an overall record of 2-13.
