“We defended well, and nobody on Chowan got into double figures,” Lincoln head coach Jessica Kern said. “I thought Amani (Clark) was a good match up against them and she had a really good night tonight.”

Chowan (4-20, 4-11, 2-7) cut the deficit to 13-11 after a layup by Curtis with 2:47 left, but Lincoln ended the half strong, using a 6-2 run to take a 19-13 advantage into the break.

That was as close as Chowan would get as Lincoln closed the game strong with a 19-9 run to get its ninth victory of the season.

Murphy led the Lady Hawks with nine points and six assists as Chowan was 10-of-39 from the floor for 26 percent.
