Box Score Lincoln University, PA - The Lincoln University women's soccer team scored two second half goals to tie the match against Georgia Court University, but neither team was able to seal the victory as the match ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Lincoln University fell behind 2-0 after back-to-back goals by Georgian Court in the 30
th and 33
rd minute of the first half. The Lions recorded 12 saves in the first half as Georgian Court were the aggressors early.  Georgian Court attempted 15 shots to Lincoln's 11 throughout the first 45 minutes.
Trailing by two scores, Lincoln's
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) passed to
Haley Hendricks (Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad HS) for a goal in the 48
th minute. The Lions found some much needed offense early in the second period from
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School). She assisted on the first goal for the Lions then netted the equalizer in the 78
th minute.
Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) drew the defense in to the far corner of the field then she fired a pass to
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) for a straight away goal.
Lincoln paced the match in the second half with great ball control and defensive pressure. The Lions recorded two goals on seven shots and held Georgian Court scoreless on 10 shots. Both teams were knotted at 2-2 and the match headed into overtime.
In the first overtime,
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) led the Lions with two shot attempts. Her first kick went high off the post and the next went wide left. Georgian Court attempted two shots and both were saved by goalkeeper
Chloe Grice (Lancashire, UK/Runshaw HS). The match remained scoreless and ended in a 2-2 tie. Lincoln moves to 7-3-2, while Georgian Court moved to 8-3-3.
The Lions attempted 22 shots on the night, while Georgian Court took 28.
The Lincoln University will travel to Tacoma Park, MD for their next match against Washington Adventist on October 20
th at 8 p.m.
