Box Score SILVER SPRING, Md.  — The Lincoln University women's soccer team earned its first victory of the season as the Lady Lions held off Washington Adventist, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at Martin Luther King Jr., Recreational Park.
 
The Lady Shock (0-1) broke the scoreless tie in the 32^nd minute, but Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School), who is averaging three goals per game, scored the equalizer in the 45^th minute off an assist by Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS), tying the game at 1.
 
O'Brien's second goal gave Lincoln the lead in the 54^th minute. However, Washington Adventist tied the game at 2 in the 62^nd minute.
 
Ayana Stewart (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen HS) gave the Lady Lions a 3-2 advantage off the assist of O'Brien, and O'Brien completed her second consecutive hat trick on an unassisted goal in the 77^th minute.
 
The Lady Shock added a goal in the 90^th minute, but it wasn't enough.
 
Sima Sinforosa recorded two saves in goal for the Lincoln and Taylor Noel had 11 saves for Washington Adventist.
 
The Lady Lions out-shot the Lady Shock, 22-10, and held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
 
Lincoln (1-1) prepares its home opener at 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6 as the Lady Lions takes on Valley Forge Christian College.
